Good intentions vs. Bad Luck

I had such good intentions for today. This was the plan: go to studio early, clean and organize studio thoroughly, begin percentage dye color samples for new round of quilts, make sketches/plans for new round of quilts, make steps towards finishing current rabbit quilt, take pictures, post on blog, tidy up studio before leaving.

Instead, this is what happened: search whole house frantically for studio keys, search car, search snow around car, search snow on parking area, steps, sidewalk, and around front door. No keys. I called my landlord to see if I could borrow the extra key to get in, but there was no answer. Begged Simon to search his office and car (I still suspect he is to blame because it's easy to blame him for losing things) but haven't heard back yet. Considered getting hack saw out of garden shed and cutting lock off, but decided that was a bit extreme. Searched whole house again, even basement.

So I guess the studio will have to wait. On to plan B. I'm off to Lowe's to get as many paint chips as I can. Then will begin color studies on paper.
